Welcome to our school

Tobu Junior High School is in the Chiba Prefecture of Japan, just north-east of Tokyo.

Our school was built in 1967.

In Japan, junior high school consists of grades 7, 8, and 9.

Our school has about 530 students. Each grade has around 180 students.

The school building has three stories.

Japanese students wear a school uniform every school day. They have a "dress uniform" for special events and a "casual" uniform that is the one normally worn in classes.

In Japan, junior high school students stay in their classroom for most classes and each subject's teachers come to their classroom. But the students leave their classroom for classes such as P.E., judo, music, science, cooking, and art.

There are no school buses for students and their parents don't drive them to school. Students who live very near the school must walk to and from school. The students who live further away can come to school by bicycle.

No one, including students and teachers, brings a packed lunch to school.
Everyone eats the school lunch. There are no choices on the menu. The school nutritionist plans the menu every month and it's made fresh everyday.
All students and teachers eat the same lunch.
It's always delicious and healthy!

Tobu Junior High School has a very warm atmosphere with students and teachers who are very kind and friendly.
